Elroy was sitting in front of the control panels, eyes sunken and tired, as he watched the cameras he'd manage to intercept and hijack. He glanced at city corners, banks, inside of other buildings. Most places were bare, a stray citizen here or there. He did see a couple of people hiding behind a car, and nearby Alfonse and Medusa had just walked past. He thought about alerting them about the two people, but switched screen quickly. There was no point in getting them tangled up in this mess. He was already in deep water, and confined to the camp unless escorted to use his technopath skills in the city. He wasn't a true Rebel, and he assumed Alfonse knew that, probably why he was keeping him close. If Elroy thought he could run away and make it to the security of the capital he would. but he also knew that could be devastating, the bite on his arm was scarring over in a cruel reminder that any moment Alfonse could control him like a puppet. He'd kill a mess of people before ever being able to fight back. He was trying to come up with a contraption to help him get free from the Voodoo power, but so far nothing had helped. He heard blips from outside the trailer, Medusa and Alfonse must be back from their patrol of the surrounding neighborhoods. He stood up and walked to the barred window and looked outside. He had to think of something fast, with the station knocked out, commando's were getting thinned out, if the Rebels took the capital they were all doomed.

Joey had her back against a crate, sitting around a small rebel fire, while others threw cans of soup in around it to heat a meal. She held her palms together and came up with some spoons tossing it to rebels who asked for them. They'd better hurry and eat because they probably wouldn't last long since she made so many. Mindlessly she created a tennisball in her hands and leaned back, tossing it up and catching it before it hit her face each time. She wasn't due for an attack for another hour and didn't care to talk about her "victories" with the others. Her side was still sore from a rather brutal hit to the ribs yesterday when there was an explosion that went off too soon from one of her poofed-into-exsistance bombs. Rubble getting her in the side. She wasn't fully convinced she could fully hear in her right ear yet either.

Elroy could hear the rebels outside gathering by their night fires as the day wound down. He was getting hungry, normall he'd wait until they left on raids to go out and pick at what they had salvaged but so long as Alfonse was out of the camp he figure he would be alright. He glanced at the lock on the door, as afraid as he was of Alfonse, the leader was pretty stupid to think an electric code lock could keep him contained. He folded his arms and stared at the lock, numbers flashed in his mind out of nowhere and the lock popped off with a hiss and click. He caught it and set it on the counter before pushing the door open and stepping outside, the crisp breeze reminded him summer was coming to a close and he grabbed his wool-lined jacket and pulled it on as he crossed the compound. He could see the scattered fires of the night watchers getting ready to leave and squinted to see if there were any radio signals being sent out, but he could see and hear nothing, people were just waiting, much more lax with Alfonse and Medusa out of the camp. He saw a smaller fire group and crossed the dying grass to get near the fire and stretched out his hands to warm them.
"Ain't you sposed to be locked up?" one grunted.
"I'm on a break." Elroy frowned, not looking up from the flames.

Joey glanced up as the technopath came over. "There's enough cans for all of us." She said pointedly to the one who challenged him and created another spoon in her hand, tossing it for Elroy. She got passed the tongs and pulled a can of soup from the flames for herself, creating a thick towel so she could grip the can and still pass the tongs along, then dug into her dinner.

Elroy caught the spoon and smiled in weak thanks to her and sat down on the ground next to her crate. He eyed one of the empty cans on the ground and picked it up and pulled out his pen knife, slicing it and another can open, taking off the bottom and fanning them together into a plate. he set it on his lap and used it like a tray. He glanced up at the girl, he'd seen her once or twice before, but they never really talked. He thought about starting a conversation but turned back to his dinner instead, if he started talking to her and got too comfortable she might get suspicious of his loyalty, then he'd be in big trouble. He ate up quickly but then his spoon fell limp and dissolved. He blinked in surprise. "That's... different."

"They don't last long." Joey glanced over when he commented on her creation. "If I concentrate on it long enough, they last longer. I just... can't figure out how to make them last." She held out her palm and made another spoon in her hand between them. She shrugged. She didn't know what she was doing wrong.

"Maybe it need more... substance." Elroy looked around and picked up a tin can. "What can you pull from this? Its structure is already defined, the cells locked in form, maybe starting from this." he handed it to her. "Maybe it can mimic that rigid structure for longer." He blinked up at her. It was a unique power for sure, something he hadn't seen before.

Joey turned the can over in her hands. "Maybe but..." She shook her head skeptically. "I can make a tin can because I've seen thousands in my life." At that she formed one in her other hand, pulling the matter together to make a duplicate. "And it seems strong and the same. I just doesn't last." She shrugged. "Thanks for the suggestion."

Elroy smirked. "No." he set his coup down and pivoted. "What I meant was try and pull a spoon from this tin can." he shrugged, "Or can you not do that?" he shrugged. "I don't know much about powers like yours."

Joey perked up, finally understanding what he was saying. "Oh." She sat up slightly so she wasn't leaning against the crate, and crossed her legs. She tossed her made-up tin can aside. "I dunno, I've never tried to pull matter from... something already formed." She made a face. She always assumed... she didn't know what she assumed. "I could try." But matter was matter right? Her creations never stuck before... shaking away her doubts she focused on the can, trying to formulate a spoon. She felt a bit of a tug at her fingers, like maybe she could make it work, before she sighed out with exasperation and glanced at her other hand. A spooned had formed in that hand, but not from the can. "Maybe it's just easier to pull loose matter..." She wasn't gonna give up on this one.

"I'm sure you'll get the hang of it." Elroy encouraged. "That's a really cool ability, I mean, everything in the world is made of matter, maybe one style of using it works for only a little while. Lile, maybe matter formed from the air has to return to the air but matter already formed into someth--"
"SEIBERT!"
Elroy jumped and turned around, paling significantly as Alfonse reached the fire.
"What are you doing outside!" his eyes were furious.
"Just....t -talking." ELroy stammerd, standing up quickly. "I'll go back inside."
"See that you do." Alfonse glared at him. "Don't make me command you back there myself."
"No sire..." Elroy glanced at the girl, he hadn't even gotten her name, but it didn't matter now, he hurried away from the group, lest Alfonse took over hi and made him do something terrible or embarrassing. He went to his trailer and sighed before pushing open the door and re-locking himself inside.

Joey jumped too, lowering her gaze at Alfonse's attention to their small fire. She gripped the spoon in her hand tightly, resisting her urge to say something to him. She'd thought she'd recognized that guy. Alfonse's little technopathic puppet. Kinda a shame. He was the only rebel she'd had a real conversation with. With an irritated sigh she tossed her spoon into the fire.

Alfonse glanced at Joey and his eyes narrowed, but she didn't appear to be sassing or challenging him, so he turned and walked back to his trailer. "Raids in ten minutes." he called. "Get ready."
Elroy sat on the edge of his bunk in the tech trailer and stared at a remote, he waved his hand over it and it fell to pieces on the table. He waved his hand again and organized them all from largest to smallest components. He made a fist and it snapped together into a workable remote again. It was a boring excercise but it kept his powers sharp. He heard the bullhorn announcing the raids starting and he winced and pushed off the bunk to check the cameras. He didn't see any citizens, and hoped he wouldn't. He didn't want any bloodshed. He heard the door being knocked on then a keycode was entered, the numbers flashed in his mind before the door opened and Medusa peered in, the raggedy cloth headband over her eyeless sockets. "Outside." she hissed. Alfonse wants you in a raid, we're attacking Capital refugee barracks."
Elroy frowned, places filled with terrified citizens trying to escape the madness?? They were going to attack them? He clenched his fists and sighed reluctantly. "I'm coming."
"Alfonse says he is letting you off leash tonight, and to not dissapoint him." she sneered. "Or he'll throw you off a building. I doubt technopaths can fly."
Elroy swallowed hard and hurried outside.

Joey sighed and set asside what little was left of her food. She stood and reached over the crate for her jacket, pulling it over her shoulders. She'd be cold as soon as she was away from the glow of the fire. Already the nights were cold. Summer was on it's way out. She pulled on some finger-less gloves too. Although her power's didn't come FROM her hands, she found it easier to create when there wasn't much matter between her hands and what she was creating. Maybe that was because of Elroy's theory? Maybe her powers wanted to work with the matter in her gloves, and that's why it was hard to work around it.
Contemplating she pulled off one glove and held both hands up beside eachother and made a spoon in each hand. although both were fast and easy due to repetition, there was a slightly easier tug to the creation in her ungloved hand. Without time to ponder this further she pulled her fingers through the holes again, going through a list of creations she was commonly asked to make on a raid. Bombs, guns, ammo...

Elroy groaned inwardly when he saw he was in Alfonse's raid party. That meant that Voodoo man would be watching his every move. He put his hands in his pockets, he didn't want to raid the city. He could hear the moving air, abuzz with radio waves from everyone getting ready to move out. They had a lead on one of the safe house bunkers for the civilians, but when Elroy listened he heard something about the council's children. He frowned. They were supposedly in an impregnable safe house... why would they be in a barrack? He realized why he was with Alfonse. Alfonse needed him when they broke into Safe House One. They others were going after the civilians while they attacked children. He froze. He couldn't do that. He refused. He turned and glared at Alfonse's wrist communicator and squinted his eyes, the light inside popped audibly and the communicator fell dead. He destroyed the other communicators in the squad in a matter of seconds before Alfonse realized his wrist device was busted. He turned and glared at Elroy. "Fix it." he said icily.
Elroy took a shaky breath. "No."
Alfonse turned to face him and several of the raid party stepped away hurriedly. Elroy knew he was in trouble, but he was getting tired of doing terrible things... tired of being a coward, he was not going to attack terrified, helpless children!
"I think yes." Alfonse's eyes glowed red and Elroy felt himself go rigid, like he was a shell and something else inside him took control. He couldn't move or speak and his panicked blue eyes turned black and red, glowing faintly.
"You're coming with us." Alfonse smirked. "But first." he made Elroy turn and run into a tree so hard he fell flat on his back, his nose bled like a faucet and Alfonse kept him lying there, the blood draining down his throat.
"Want to run into a few more trees? Or maybe walk into the middle of the river and drown? My, you're awfully sinister today. He made him get up and walk over to a fire and stand close to it. "Maybe you should swallow some off those glowing embers..." his eyes glowed cruelly and Elroy tried desperately to move but he was locked, unable to resist.
