"With all due respect sir." Joey said, fabricated gun in one hand, at her side. She figured she better give him his due title or he'd get mad, like he already was. "A few squads are already ahead of us, our units are falling behind while you play your game." She didn't mean it to come out like a challenge, but she wasn't sure she could have worded it any better.

Alfonse glared at her, eyes glowing but he released his hold on Elroy, who stumbled back from the fire, breathing hard and shaking from the ordeal. He glared at Alfonse and and rubbed his chest, the feeling was still there, like a claw in his chest, a switch he could control him with, he wanted it gone, and he didn't know how to break his hold. "I won't help you kill innocent children." he found his voice and glared at Alfonse.
"You'll do whatever I tell you, and whatever I make you do." Alfonse snorted. "Now follow us like a good little soldier, and maybe I'll let you kill them humanely." he he headed into the city and Elroy shook with quiet rage, but when he didn't move fast enough Alfonse zapped him again and made him walk double time over to them. He had to break his hold, he had to!

Joey sighed and shouldered her pack, falling to the back of her group, watching the backs of the rest of the rebels as they marched. She watched the back of Alfonse's head. The Rebels might actually be something great if it wasn't alfonse leading them. She wondered if she'd be able to make a bomb inside of a person... like how she did with walls. But quickly pushed the thought aside.

Elroy sat down hard on the grass after they had arrived back at camp. He felt terrible. The children had been secured and locked inside an old bank armored truck and were guarded by Medusa sitting on the roof. Elroy was dealing with the after effects of Voodoo's influence over him, the shakes and the hitched breathing weren't fun, but then again, nothing out here was. He eyed the area of the cellar where they had thrown the two commandos, he didn't want to know what terrible fate awaited them, no doubt something grizzly and deadly. He glanced up at the girl from before and looked away. He was still embarrassed from Alfonse parading him around and smashing him into things. His nose still hurt from ramming into the tree. He folded his arms over his knees and rested his chin on top. It was getting late, hopefully if he minded his own business he could stay outside in the fresh air longer.

Piper followed after him, eyes narrowing at the fact that there were no guards. "That can't be right. Be sure to keep an eye open." With a nudge at Emery's calf she pushed against him a bit, her chest nearly in contact with his lower back to try to get him to continue up the steps. "Let's get a move on."
Ridley rested against the side of one of the buildings, her blonde hair would've been glinting in the sunlight if she'd bothered to make herself visible. She had been ordered back to camp by Alphonse for a few days as punishment for letting the Commando into their border patrol and letting him take back the female without his permission. She sighed, scuffing her boots in the dirt. This was incredibly boring.

Emery glancing behind at her and lifted the door higher, ever so slowly trying not to draw attention. He pressed past her and nodded for her to climb out the rest of the way, while he reached up his hands and held the heavy door open physically, to preserve his powers, he wasn't sure how long they'd hold out this round.
Elroy watched the last of the sun going down over the trees, it would have been beautiful, if the day wasn't so messed up, her could hear the kids crying in the furthest trailer, Medusa yelled at them to shut up and they quieted to a whimper. Elroy wished he'd been assigned to guard them, he'd never be able to get them out of here, but he would have at least tried to comfort them somehow. He glanced back to the trailer he was sure to be locked inside of shortly and paused seeing something different, the cellar door was propped ever so slightly up, the opening facing away from him. His eyebrows lifted slowly in amazement. Were the commandos alive?? Were they escaping?? he shook his head and glanced at the ground. He had to do something, to point it out to another meant death for the Commandos, to help them would be death for himself. But maybe, maybe he could help them without assisting them directly. He just had to keep the focus on himself.... he looked around and tried to find something, anything to control...

Piper scurried up past him and ignored the way their bodies brushed almost intimately. She hoisted herself out of the cellar and looked around. The minute she looked over her shoulder she met eyes with one of the rebel men and drew in a breath suddenly.

Elroy blinked in surprise when he saw her, he remembered her from the safehouse, the ice powers. He held her stare for a moment then slowly turned his head away from her and looked across the compound where the power cables linked to the generator that supplied the power to the trailers. He narrowed his eyes and snapped two of the cables free with his mind, they wrapped around the two nearest Rebels and threw them down to the ground, tightening like snakes, the Rebels yelled and hollered as the cables started giving off sparks, Elroy didn't dare stop watching the cables, he had started this, he had to finish it, this could be enough to free them, this distraction.
Emery grabbed Piper's ankle and pulled himself up while she was gaping and pushed her shoulder. "Go go go!" he hissed, wrapping an arm around her shoulder for support, as much to aid her and himself, he listed them both off the ground enough that bearing weight wouldn't be at painful and skim-ran over the grass away from the mayhem, breathing hard.
Elroy tightened his fists, letting the cables flop the two rebels around like marionettes, he cast his eyes to the light post while the cables danced below, with a blink, the compound was in pitch black darkness. He started to stand when he went rigid uncontrollably and forced down to his hands and knees on the ground. He gritted his teeth against the control, Alfonse knew...

Piper's breath came out in pants as she ran, keeping one of her arms wrapped around Emery's middle to steady them both. She didn't know who the rebel that saved them was, but was grateful that he'd been around.

Emery got them to the edge of the city and paused, letting go and leaning against the chain-link fence, he was exhausted, his side was bleeding again from the running and tearing of his stitches. He curled his fingers tight against the metal mesh from the pain. "Up and over snow queen." he lifted her with his mind and dropped her on the other side of the fence, albeit somewhat unceremoniously. He winced at the sound of her landing. "Sorry." he started to climb the fence himself but it was well over nine feet with razor wire on the top, he just didn't have the energy to lift himself that high... or climb it physically, but that hadn't been the plan anyway... He stepped back from the fence, blood seeping through his shirt. "Go find Molly... the commandos, finish the job, ok?" he stepped further back from the fence."I'll keep an eye on the kids..." he sighed, glancing down, he'd deceived her, but he knew she'd never let him stay alone, now she had no choice.
Elroy couldn't even look up but he heard Alfonse's boots thudding closer in the grass, the cables had stopped violently thrashing the Rebels and they were gathering loser too, Elroy was one of the only technopaths in the group, they knew who started the attack. Alfonse made Elroy raise his head, and he kneed him hard in the face, plowing him into the grass. Alfonse pulled out a knife and put it in Elroy's hands. He never killed his victims, he made them do it themselves. "Turn the power back on, or you'll slit your own throat." Alfonse hissed in a deadly whisper.

Piper's winced at her landing but then her eyes grew wide when Emery told her to go on. She threw herself against the fence, absolutely livid. "Em. Em, you can't be serious. I'd never leave you!" Though she protested the idea, she could see his logic behind it and that made her all the more angry.
Ridley saw the entire interaction between the escaping Commandos and Elroy. Her eyes were wide as she watched the exchange between her fellow rebel and Alphonse with wide eyes. He wouldn't actually make him kill himself... would he?

"I know..." Emery said weakly. "So I'm leaving you, get out of here, now." he turned and hurried away from her, if he ever got out o this... he'd pay for what he'd just done later, but he wouldn't let Piper change his mind. He had to do this, at least now she was out of here, she'd be able to get help. He pushed quietly through the trees a hundred yards through the woods away from the fence, he couldn't even see the fence anymore. He crouched down in some bushed some twenty yards outside the camp, he could see the lights flickering on, he saw the Rebels gathered around a man on the ground, he was bleeding from his nose and mouth but his eyes glowed red. He was under Voodoo's powers. Emery narrowed his eyes, that looked an awful lot like a technopath professor he'd seen in the Academy, it was the same technopath that locked Piper int he fridge. At first, seeing him bloody brought him a little satisfaction after what he'd done to them, but then he remembered the cables, the power outtage, he'd done it on purpose... why catch them just to let them escape?? He saw Alfonse make him hold the knife to his wrist and the red left the man's eyes he was shaking, terrified as Alfonse drilled him for questions.
"What was that about! You almost fried out power system and you attacked fellow Rebels! I have no need for mutiny among my ranks!"
Elroy's mouth moved shakily but he couldn't voice the words.
"Speak up!" Alfonse made him press the blade agaisnt his skin in a flash and Elroy started shaking so hard he almost keeled over. "I-I'm n-not one of you ranks!" he said shakily. "N-not anymore!"
"Then you're dead to me." Alfonse stepped forward and Emery burst out of the bushes and whistled loudly.
"You're security suuuuuuuucks!" Emery yelled, stuck his thumbs in his ears, blew a loud raspberry and dashed into the shadow, limping heavily.
Alfonse looked livid. "AFTER HIM!" he snatched the knife from Elroy. "Take him to the cellar, remove all technology, we'll let him rot it out for a few days." he hurried off into the shadows after the others.
Elroy was breathing so hard there were tears streaming his face. He'd thought he was dead... as good as dead... He was grabbed roughly by the arm and dragged towards the cellar, he silently thanked the commando for saving his life, for now. And hoped he could get away again. He was thrown down the cellar and hit the ground hard. He gritted his teeth and curled up tight, shaking in terror in the dark.

Piper watched him go with a heavy heart. She wanted to call to him, but didnt want to put him in any more danger so she remained quiet and locked her emotions away. Tears gathered at the corners of her gray eyes, but she wouldn't let them fall. She ran further into town to find someone to help.
Ridley watched the rebels take the technopath away and mentally registered where he was being kept before following Alphonse in his pursuit of the commando.

Emery could hear the steps getting closer behind him and ducked to hide in some bushes, it was a lame hiding spot, but several Rebels ran blindly past him, giving him a chance to catch him breath. He listened and lifted himself to a low branch, he gasped as he climbed up, feeling his stitches tearing the higher he climbed. He rested in a crook about twenty feet off the ground safely hidden in the leaves. He sighed out and pushed his hand through his hair. He hoped the technopath got away, or at least, was out of death's range for now. He rested against the trunk to catch his breath.
Alfonse stormed through the woods, smashing through bushes, trying to find the little brat. He wasn't sure of his powers, and cursed thinking it might be speed or invisibility. "Search the whole area!" he snapped. "Check the fences! Look for the girl too! She's probably with him somewhere!"

Ridley wasn't as careless as the other rebels. Considering the fact that she was vertically challenged she tended to look up a lot, which led to her spotting Emery almost immediately. As quietly as she could she crept up the tree, still unsure of what she was doing other than following instinct. She made it to the branch that Emery was on and reappeared. "You come here often?" she said in a hushed tone.
