Emery gasped and clenched his fists. "I don't know what your angle is Balto but you let her go, and I WON'T kill you!" He barked, bit of rock and rubble with floating around their feet and Emery was struggling to keep from launching them both into the air. Piper was the victim, he needed her permission to try anything in this situation, he held his ground but searched her face. 'Come on! Freeze him!' he begged in his head, wishing she was a mind reader. His wrist blipped.
"Everything ok up there?" Molly asked through the receiver. Emery narrowed his eyes but didn't answer it.
When Rapid got to the station he was escorted to the interrogation room for power profiling, he said nothing while they drilled him for questions, too shaken about being there. Too bad for him he already had a file and they knew about his strengths, they sent him to the strong-arm cell block with a lot of other prisoners with greater than normal strength. When the door shut behind him in was in a room full of rough-looking burly men that all eyed him suspiciously. He swallowed hard and stepped back, pressing against the wall. He still wasn't 100%, he felt weak and he sure as heck didn't feel safe as they all turned to examine him more.
A platinum blonde Commando woman stepped into the room where Ren and Gabe were being interrogated. "Go outside, Nigel, I've got them." she said gently. She set some files down on the table and sat across from them. "I know you're angry and upset about being brought here." she set, flicking her hair behind her shoulder and trying to smile disarmingly at them both. "I know things are bad in the city, and that you're just trying to get by, I understand that. I will try and get the two of you out of here on bail with charges of petty theft but your friend well... he did assault a commando. And that will be harder to clear up." she sighed and settled back in her chair. "The commandos have been trying to help the citizens the past two weeks so they will stop the looting and stealing. They're been trying to get water and food the citizens in need, but our trucks were raided and attacked by Rebels almost instantly after they left. After six commandos were killed we had to stop." she shook her head. "I'll see what I can do for your friend while he's being contained. But here's your bail post." she pushed a folder towards him then unclipped the wristwatch communicator she had. "And here's your phonecall." she blinked sympathetically at them.

Piper struggled and he bit down harder. There was a cry of anguish and crimson decorated her face. It hurt more than she expected. She raised her hand weakly, willing her body to cool and her ice to come to life. He shook her violently, her neck whipping back and forth with a sickening sound. Her hand fell.
Gabriel no long shed any tears, though his eyes the tell-tale red. He wanted to punch something, someone. With his desperation growing, his anger started to fizz out and he had to remind himself that this woman was nice from what he could tell. He took the wristwatch communicator and dialed the number he knew by heart. It rang, and rang before there was an answer.
A sleepy, low voice answered. "Hello? Who is this? What the hell are you doing calling at this time?"
Gabe sighed at the familiar voice of agitation before he cleared his throat, "Willam. It's me. I need some help." The line was silent for moments before a callous bark of laughter erupted over the line.
"Gabe? You got yourself in trouble? Jeez, what the hell did you do to call me for help? Get yourself arrested?" Gabe didn't answer. The silence spoke volumes that his older brother's jest was correct. "No! No way. You did not get arrested! Hah! I'm gonna have to tell the guys at work this. Oh man, so... you can get out on bail, right? I'm assuming that's what you want from me."
Rubbing his temples, he exhaled through his nose. "Yes, Willam. I need you for money. Now would you please just get up here? I know it's funny and all, but I need the help."
"Sure. Sure, lil' bro. I'll be there soon."
"Oh... and Willam... I have two other friends that will need to be released too... so..."
"You suck, man. But I'll see what I can do."
"...Thanks." The line clicked dead and Gabriel pushed it back over to the woman. Now all they had to do was wait. Hopefully, Willam would arrive soon and their freedom would be ensured.

"STOP IT!" Emery snarled and lifted four blocks the size of microwaves to hurl at him. "Let her go you stupid mutt!" He narrowed his eyes. "Or I'll let Molly and Sparky come after you! Even if you kill her they'll catch you and make your death a veritable hell!" his eyes darkened in intensity. He wanted to crush this rebel, he wanted to hear his bones snap under impact of the rubble boulders he was holding above them both. But he couldn't do it without Piper's call, and Piper wasn't responding.
The woman took back the device and clipped it back to her wrist. "I can let you both stay in a lesser holding cell." she said, standing up and gathering her papers. "But I have to warn you not to be using violent powers, you're on thin ice here, if there's more assaults I can't protect you." she glanced at Ren, having run his power test she knew he might be a danger. She took them down the hall and opened the door to a lesser holding cell, it was more or less a traditional holding cell, but it wasn't re-inforced for a specific power type. She figure by placing them into a lesser cell, they wouldn't feel so trapped. She shut the cell door behind them. "I'll be back to check on you both in about half an hour, did you need anything while you wait?" she asked.
"Lilah quit babying the crooks." a voice sneered and a commando leaning against the wall smirked at her. "Let em sweat it out."
"They did nothing but try to survive." Lilah glared at him. "I won't blame them for that."
"At least you got the lessers. The thug they were with has stolen a lot before. I doubt he'll be leaving any time soon."
"Quit being so sadistic." Lilah's eyes glowed sea-green for a heartbeat then faded. She turned away from him and back to the boys. "Again, did you boys need anything while you wait?"
Rapid wasn't having a good time. The others in the reinforced cell block were picking on him. One man kept turning to stone and punching his shoulder. Another few had extra limbs that they kept regenerating and flexing. Rapid had sulked off to a corner of the cell and was sitting on the floor, trying not to shake. He was still weak from the darts and couldn't defend himself. He was scared

Gabriel got as close as he could to the bars and looked at the woman, "My friend. He's weak in his current state and there's no way he'd try to hurt anyone. He's a big softy. All the stealing he's done has been to survive and keep others safe as well. Bring him into this cell, please. He'd be too weak to try anything, besides he wouldn't think about it with Ren and I in here. Please. I'm begging you. Putting him in a cage with those much stronger than him at the moment isn't good! He could be in danger because of you guys. Please, Ms. Lilah!" his voice cracked at the end, but his gaze held the woman's. She had to help.
It took all of Piper's strength to lift her head in the slightest to give Emery a broken smile and weak nod. She was telling him it was OK, to attack now and think about the consequences later. They had a job to do.

Emery caught her eye, heart pounding and glared back and the wolfman before hurling a boulder at his flank and four legs, throwing the other two in a drop-down onto his back and haunches, anything to avoid Piper, but if he hit her, he'd have to patch her up later. He clenched his fists to send them both hurting into the air.
Lilah turned and sighed. "I'll see what I can do." she said softly and headed down the hall. She carded herself into the high security block and headed down the block. She stood outside the dark room, she could hear the scuffle going on inside and frowned, unlocking the door and stepping inside. "Hey!" she said sharply, her eyes glowing angrily. "Step aside." she told the stone-man that had just punched Rapid in the face. Rapid dropped to the floor and she walked over and helped him upright. "Stay back." she told the others sternly. She took Rapid's arm and helped him outside into the hall.
Rapid was blooding from a bloody scrape on his face and his lip and he didn't look her in the eye and they shuffled stiffly down the hall.
"I'm breaking a lot of rules bringing you to a lesser cell." she told him. "But your friends say you're harmless, and I can't see the sense in those ruffians pounding you into a pulp. Come on." she turned into the lesser cell and buzzed them both in. She opened the door and helped him inside. "Keep an eye on him... don't make me regret breaking the rules." she told Gabriel in undertone.
Rapid stumbled forward and sat on the ground against the wall, staring at the floor.

Wilder grunted in pain and tripped, rolling over with the woman still firmly in his jaws. This stupid little soldier was getting on his last nerves. With a vicious growl he shot forward toward the telekinesis user. He could live through the pain. He just had to promise himself that he'd cut down that annoying brat.
Gabriel nodded viciously at the woman before launching himself towards Rapid, falling to his knees and sliding to a halt in front of the man he called his friend. He placed his hands on the bigger man's shoulders, "Hey. Rapid, you're okay. Hey..." He frowned at the man's lack of communication before placing his hand under Rapid's chin, coaxing him to look up and at Gabriel. They were a bit too close to be completely comfortable, but Gabriel didn't care at that moment. Instead, a bright grin broke across his face. "I'm so glad you're okay. I was so worried about you! Don't you dare scare me like that ever again, ok? Oh! You're bleeding... here." He produced a wad of Kleenex from his pocket and dabbed at Rapid's face carefully.

Emery crossed his wrists and lifted Wilder up far over his head, then let him drop with a crash, tweaking his wrist to flip him and let Piper land on the wolf instead of the cement. "I can do this all day." he spat. "Let her go!" he buzzed his wrist. "Back up!" he snapped.
Molly gasped hearing the message. "They need help!"
"Stay with the kids." Alan's hands crackled white and blue with electricity. "I've got this." he ran towards the entrance.
Rapid flinched away from Gabriel's friendly assault. he squint up at him but looked away while he dabbed at the scrapes on his face. He was still shaken from before, and not even at half his strength. He wanted to slouch away and sleep this nightmare off but confined in this bright little cell with them made it impossible.
Lilah stepped out and shut the doors again. She watched them for a while and then headed out into the hall once more.

Piper groaned. She was starting to see black spots and her vision was tunneling. This wasn't good. If she kept losing blood she'd need a transfusion and they didn't have time for that now.
Wilder hit the ground and immediately shifted form. In his human form he held the girl bridal style and close to his chest. Dark hair covered most of his face and eyes, but a deep set frown revealed his emotions. He wasn't in the mood for this today. He came out to have a good time and play with these snot-nosed Commandos, but the tables were turning. His options were running low. He could create a diversion and take her with him, or he could drop her and run. Something briefly caught his eye and he tried his best to repress a smirk. Perfect timing. A smoke bomb hit the ground inbetween him and the telekinesis user. Roran sure had perfect timing.
A young man- no... teen with dark red hair and stubble appeared in front of him and placed a hand on Wilder's shoulder. "Thanks, kid." They disappeared and reappeared only a block or two away. Roran's teleportation wasn't at its full potential yet, but they could make it.
Gabriel quieted at Rapid's subtle rejection and he deflated a bit, but continued to care for his friend. The silence drew out long between them before Gabriel spoke in a hushed voice, "It's okay... to be scared. I won't let you rot in here. I'll get you out and that's a promise."

Rapid frowned and stared at the floor. "I don't..." he started weakly. Don't what? Want to leave? Want to steal anymore? Those weren't exactly options. If he stayed he'd be someone's punching bag, or worse. If he was let out he'd have to scrape by again, and if he got caught again, well, he didn't value his chances. He didn't know how to finish his sentence so he just stayed quiet. He rested his head against the wall and felt his strength starting to return. "I can't get caught again." he mumbled tiredly.
Emery stumbled back, coughing from the smoke. He turned and got tackled by Alan. "Get OFF!" he snarled.
"Where's Piper!" Alan jumped upright, turning around in the cover.
"With Toto!" Emery ran out of the smoke and squinted around the block. "PIPER!" he called out.
Alan hurried after him. "Toto?"
"Some ass that's apparently a werewolf!" Emery ran to the edge of the street and looked around as the smoke cleared. "She's gone..."
"Werewo-- Wilder... Why didn't you call for back up!" Alan demanded.
"I WAS A LITTLE BUSY!" Emery snapped and picked up a mailbox container and threw it across the street in frustration.

Gabriel stopped his movements and looked at Rapid. Really looked at him. He was weary and tired...emotionally, mentally, physically. And Gabe had no clue what to do. He couldn't heal him. He wished more than anything that at this moment he had the ability to heal others. Rapid wasn't really hurt physically anymore, but with just the assurance that he could fix something was what he truly wanted. Gabe himself didn't want to be fixed. He wanted to be broken and hurt and not have the quiet fear inside of himself that questioned if he would ever get to rest. He opened his mouth to speak-
"Who the hell do you think you're talking to, you jerk! I am the son of Councilman Reed and I am of much higher status than any of you! I said let me see my brother!" The all to familiar voice boomed through the halls. There was scuffling and a man appeared at the cell block door. Familiar dark eyes looked back at Gabriel, "Surprise, kiddo."
Piper had lost consciousness when Roran had teleported them. She was vulnerable and had no clue where they were taking her.

Emery paced the ground. "I gotta find her!"
"You have to protect the kids." Alan said firmly.
"Then who'll find Piper! I'm supposed to be her partner and I let her get taken!"
"I'll get her back just go back inside!" Alan ordered.
"You go back inside I'm not going back in that hole!" Emery bristled.
"Your job is to those kids first." Alan put on some sun glasses. "If its a wolf-man it probably Wilder. He and the Rebels patrol the borders and they'll be making their way to the edge of the city, I can handle them." he headed down the sidewalk.
"Are you Deaf!" Emery shouted. "I'm not going back there without her!"
"You can and you will, you swore an oath, now get back there, you already failed one task today." Alan snapped and took a massive spring, crackling with lighting as he flew upwards.
"Ass." Emery hissed angrily.
Lilah appeared in the doorway, eyes glowing menacingly. "And as I've told you, mister Reed." she said icily. You have forms to fill out. And if you rough-handle another one of the guards like that I'll put you in a cell yourself." she walked into the room, heels clacking on the floor. "Mister, Gabriel, Reed, as you've noticed, your bail poster has arrived. There are still charges against your friend I'm trying to sort out though. You both are free to go as soon as the payment is made."
Rapid stiffened seeing the newcoming and moved away from Gabriel. Hearing Lilah he winced and looked at the floor. "Go Gabriel... I'll be ok. I'll get out sooner or later. Rosie and the others will need you two now. No point in... in us all being stuck here."

Willam Reed was a giant in comparison to the blonde woman, but he held his hands up in a mock surrender. "Just wanted to see my little bro, ma'am. You can't blame me for being concerned about him." He gave his brother a little wave and wink before heading off to pay the bail.
Gabriel sighed. He hadn't seen his brother in a few months and he was still as rowdy as ever. "I'll have Ren head back and tell Rosie what has happened. I'll stay here until your charges have been figured out. I won't leave you."
Willam came back into view, catching the last few words of Gabriel's speech. He just smirked down at Rapid when the guard opened the cell door and let Ren and Gabriel out. He slung his arm around his brother's neck and pulled him closer. "Jeez. Haven't seen you in awhile... are you getting prettier? Gonna have to start calling you my sister soon, huh?" Eyes sparkled with mischief.
Gabriel let out an annoyed huff, "Good to see you too, Willam."
Willam knocked their hips against each other, "So, who is your posse? Got yourself a harem, brother? I'm sure Dad will get a kick out of that."
"You didn't tell father I was here, did you?" Gabriel seethed.
"Well, yeah... why wouldn't I?"
"Damn it, Will. Why'd you have to involve dad?"
"Well, he deserves to know. He cares about you and wants you back."
"That is bullshit. Dad treated me like a servant and you like a prince. He has you. He doesn't need me, nor do I want him to."
"Gabe..."
"We're not talking about this anymore. Let's just go. I have to get Rapid's charges sorted out with Ms. Lilah."
"... Who's Rapid? That your boyfriend?" Their voices died out as they were far from the cells and out into the main room.

Rapid stood up after they left and arched a brow hearing them leave. That was... weird. He groaned. He felt sick from the after effects of the tar darts and antiserum. His jaw and shoulders were stiff from the rock man's pummels. He hoped he didn't have to go back there... He looked up as Lilah gave him a sympathetic look before heading outside after the others. She sat at her desk while Will filled out the paperwork. She talked on the phone, talking low and annoyed before hanging up. "The officer Mr Brooks assaulted wants to press charges, and posted a higher bail for him. I tried to argue it back but he won't back down. I'm afraid Rapid has to stay, and they'll be moving him back to the higher security cell, they threatened to suspend me if I moved him again." she grumbled and sighed shortly.
Alan landed on a building on the edge of town, he should be close to the Rebel perimeter camps by now. He didn't fear getting attacked, with a power as dangerous as his most Rebels kept a wide berth. He jumped and lit down on the edge of the city and walked towards a long line of trailers. "WILDER!" he shouted. "Anyone seen that mongrel!" he called out to the Rebels in hiding. He clenched a fist, sparking with energy. "Don't make me start flipping things over Alfonse!"
"The boy's not here." a smooth voice said. A tall, caramel-skinned man appeared in the entryway of the largest doublewide and walked outside, leaning against a tree. He was wearing a vest made from a tattered leather jacket and no shirt underneath. He had a necklace of shark and alligator teeth and his hair was buzzed all around until the top, the rest was tied up in a red silk tie like a headband. "He's out recruiting."
"Is that what you call it?" Alan frowned. "Then I'll wait. He kidnapped a commando, and I'm getting her back even if I have to shoot up with a silver bullet."
"You dramatize his playfulness." Alfonse huffed. "He's harmless, so long as your commandos stay out of the way."
"He and that monster of yours were attacking children! You're lucky I didn't get my bolts on them!"
Alfonse smirked. "Then why not go after him yourself?"
"Cause he's coming back to you, and I can wait." Alan narrowed his eyes behind his shades.

Gabriel leaned forward in his seat, "You've seen what they did to him! You can't just put him back there. They'll kill him!" He was livid. "How much higher is his bail?"
Wilder had already ditched the girl in his quarters. He tied her up and gagged her before locking the door, just to make sure she'd stay put. With a triumphant skip in his step he appeared from behind a batch of trailers and slid up next to Voodoo. His body was covered in bruises and scrapes, yet a smirk held itself firmly on his face. "Can I help you, Ranger? I don't believe I know who you're talking about? I did accidentally grab some baggage on the journey home, but I dropped it when it got too... heavy." Canines glinting in the light, he held his head high.

Lilah leaned back from his intensity and sighed. Before pulling a file from her bag and pushed it forward to him. "A bit..." she said regrettably.
"Tell that little rich punk to forget it." the commando in the desk behind glass called through the wrist cuff. "I ain't letting that thug outta here until he pays for what he did!"
Rapid winced as he was brought back to the high security cell block. He flinched when the door shut behind him and muscled back the urge to fidgit in fear. he could hear them chuckling in the shadows. He stepped back and bumped into a hug man, twice the size of himself. Rough, rocky arms locked around him. "Glad you're back, kitten." he laughed roughly. "Missed you."
Alan snorted. "Sounds like your dog needs a shock collar." he raised his hand and formed a lasso of static and lightning. "Allow me to wrap this around his throat."
Alfonse looked down at Wilder in annoyance. "I hope it was worth this." he curled his lip. "Whatever you did. I'm not protecting you from the repercussions of your own stupid actions." he flicked his eyes to Alan. "Go ahead then." he tried to fix him with a stare, even though he knew he had no control over the Ranger. Not yet anyway.
