Sheila stretched on her tip toes and kissed him. "Its ok, It doesn't matter where we go as long as we're together. We'll be safer. Besides, you rescued him, I'm not mad at you for that." she gave him a hug and went to pack a bag. "Pack all the clothes and blankets you can." she advised. "I'll take care of food stuffs."

Angani snuggled closer. "You were here today... that's all that I needed." he pressed his forehead against Kaiser's. After several long moments int he quiet, adjusting to his body heat to Kaiser's under the covers. "I hoped the candle would work... even you wouldn't be able to miss something that ugly." he smiled weakly.

Dane grinned, finishing off his drink before filling the glass again to the brim. "I'll drink to that," he snickered, leaning heavily against the bar. He took a big gulp. "Dane," he offered. "Enchanté. So you come here often then?"

Zeke's eyes flicked down to Alliser's hand on his glass then back up to his face, a perpetual frown on his face. "Shut up," he muttered, hating how much Alliser was enjoying this. He lifted his chin stubbornly and looked away. "No. I reserve the right to anyone who acts like a raging asshole 100% of the time."

Robert shrugged, not meeting Emery's eye. "I was, but my "impulsive little brat senses" were tingling and I decided I should come check up on you."

Emery snorted and pushed off the wall, wavering slightly, but he'd rather fall than ask for help from his superior. "Well I'm fine, so lets go back. 'm freezing my ass off out here." he snuggled his chin into the collar of his jacket.

"I just work odd jobs for Zeke, unloaded the trucks, bar back, janitor, bouncer, that sort of thing." Rapid picked up the water cooler bottle and rotated it not to get splashed through the crack, drinking some more. "I take it this isn't your usual scene? You seem a little clean cut for this place."

Johnny smiled, feeling the tension in his shoulders fall away at the kiss. He skipped around the house, pilfering as many blankets as he could from the cupboards and bedspread as he could. Leaving them in a bundle by the door, he set about throwing their clothes into a duffel bag, making sure to wrap their few photo frames safely inside a few of his shirts. About to swing the cupboard shut, he spotted an old chewed up duck toy of Bobby's that they'd thought had been lost overboard. He smiled and packed that too. Let it be a surprise for him when they found their new home.

Kaiser felt he couldn't press himself close enough. "I almost wasn't," he said, his nightmares reliving themselves in his mind. Angani's joke blew through them like smoke, the fright dissipating through a bout of absurd laughter. "God, you've wanted to throw that candle out ever since we moved in," he laughed, crying anew. "I'm glad I argued with you to keep it. You're right, Angel knew exactly what it was."

Alliser followed the movement of Zeke's jaw, arcing an eyebrow appreciatively. "I really am enjoying the stubbled look," he crooned. "It's very dystopian layabout of you, in a charming way." He tipped the glass in his hand, catching a drop of condensation as it dripped down the side. Alliser lifted the droplet to his mouth, sucking on his finger as his eyes trailed down his collar bone. He imagined Zeke was a fair bit more built than he had been in high school, if his forearms were anything to go bye. He moaned at the thought, the alcohol in his system catching up to him rapidly.

Sheila got everything packed up then headed back to their bed. "We'll rest up til first light then head out." she settled on her side of the bed and patted the space next to her. "Lets get some sleep."

Angani let Kaiser's arms squeeze him close. He wanted to hold him tight but he didn't want to hurt him so he just kissed his cheek and settled his face close to his. "You're always there when it counts." he assured him. "Now I found you and I'm not letting you out of my sight..." he closed his eyes.

Johnny checked again that Elroy and Bobby were comfortable, drawing the curtains closed around the boat and double checking the locks. He smiled at Sheila's invitation and plopped down beside her, outstretching an arm for her to snuggle close. "I love you," he yawned earnestly. "I love you so much." He dropped his head on top of hers and was out within moments.

Kaiser laughed as he felt Angani's breath even out beside him. "One of us has to keep an eye on the other. Sure as hell can't be me..." he trailed off sleepily.

Zeke flushed and looked down to hide his face. After a moment, he shook his head and took the glass. "Ok, that's enough for you," he scolded, trying to ignore the sultry look in his eyes.

Dane leaned on the heel of his palm and listened with the rim of his glass resting against his lips. "Wow, you're so versatile." He set his glass down. "God no, before this whole thing, I never even came to this part of town! No offense, of course. It's just...everything's so...dirty and...grimy and...bleh..."

Alliser snorted, lifting himself from the stool and coming around the table to press a hand to Zeke's collar, picking at the edge of his shirt. "When did you lose your sense of adventure, darling?" he drawled. "I remember you being quite enterprising in my dorm room." He laughed, dropping his gaze. "Ah, those are tighter jeans than I remember."

Rapid smirked. "That's awfully stuffy of you. Though what do I know. I work for most of the businesses down here in one way or another. May not have the uptown polish but some of the friendliest people around." he took another swig of his cider.
Around 8 ciders later...
"I dunno I just think musclehead strength can be such a burden. Like yeah woo-hoo I can dead-lift six tons but when has that ever been comparible to like...the universe." Rapid was sitting in the back with Dane where he had been chatting none stop for the last hour and a half. "I dunno." he took another drink. "I just know I hate it. I hurt so many people by accident, who knows what damage I could do on purpose. Never even dated anyone, probably shatter someone if I did." he groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Yeah, a giant, clumsy lug that could tear your limbs off like paper... and he's homeless and grungy, what a catch." he rested his head back against the wall. "I'd swap powers in an instant, Dane. With anyone, well, almost anyone I guess. Not Alfonse."

Dane listened with wide, doey eyes, hes jaw lolling open stupidly. "You poor thing," Dane crooned, his voice thick with emotion. "Don't you talk 'bout yourself like that, you know! You are a catch, I mean look at you!" He made an exaggerated gesture with his hands. "S'all good! And you're nice! Maybe a bath but then you're good t'go! So shush!" He stared at him for a moment before slumping down against the wall. "Trus' me I've dated lot'sa jerks with "good" powers," he said, making shaky air quotes with his fingers. "You don't need that. You're all right!" He dragged his head up and smiled up at him before dropping his forehead to his shoulder with a snort.
All the blood rushed to Zeke's face as he leaned closer. He pressed into the back of his chair, causing the front legs to tip off the floor. He scrambled to catch himself before falling and quickly stood up. "Nope. Nope." He shook his head firmly and grabbed Alliser's arm to drag him out the door. "Nope."

Rapid laughed at his antics and helped hold him up. "Not to be all blugh but I think you might be a lilerly shmit bipsy." He laughed. "I should go." he groaned and tried to stand up, wobbling slightly. "You stayin?"

Alliser snickered as Zeke as hauled him outside. "You're not kicking me out, are you, Zeke?" he laughed. "After all the fun we're having here?" He wrapped a hand around the wrist that held him. "Come on fire boy, warm me up. You've left my coat inside."

Dane whined, leaning against him before forcing himself to stand on his own. "I am not!" he said indignantly. "I'm just fine." He swayed slightly before stumbling forward and falling against him once more, laughing. "No, don't leave me here!" He clutched at his shirt, dragging himself up to look at his face. "And the place I'm staying is so cramped and I'm all alone. I hate it there."
Zeke ignored him. He had to make a conscious effort to keep from burning Alliser as he dragged him around the corner. "Why are you so annoying?" he shouted, finally letting go and throwing up his hands. He paced around in the snow for a moment before turning on him again. "Just when I feel like I'm getting my life together, you show up and act like a total asshole. I know you think it's so funny to make me feel like an idiot, and make me look like a pathetic loser but you just...You...Why can't you just...You're so..." The heat radiating from him melted the snow falling around him as he stood there, panting and stumbling over his words.

Alliser snorted, leaning against the brick wall. He crossed his arms over his chest, rubbing them in the chill. "I didn't know you would be here," he replied snarkily. "How do you think I felt walking into that bar? Do you think this is the evening I planned for myself?" He huffed, looking away. "How stupid do you think I feel, showing up here? Seeing you with some Commando washout, finding out my social circle consists entirely of your goddamned family members. I finally think I'm rid of you, and here you are again." Alliser met Zeke's eyes sullenly. "And all you do is look at me stupidly. In front of all of them like that. You hadn't even told anyone about me." He stepped forward then, shoving Zeke backwards, indignant. "Are you ashamed? Was your little game of pretend going well for you, with me out of the picture? I suppose starting over again was easy for you."

Rapid helped hold him up. "I can take you to the place I'm going. It's not far." he tugged on his coat. "Lezz go." He scooped him up with one arm unthinkingly and grabbed his bag with his other hand and headed outside in the snow and tugged his hood up over his fluffy hair. "Getting stormy." he called into the wind. "Maybe we shouldn't walk all the way there in the dark." he looked around. "I know a place to hole up." he turned directions and headed towards an old block of town near the abandonned Dairy Queen. "I used to work here as a kid." he opened the locked door with a flick fo the wrist the metal door popped open and he carried him inside and set him down. "There's a long booth in the front you can rest on." he sat on one of the chairs. "I'll keep watch." he sighed and looked over. "I might be lil tispy too." he laughed.
