Kaiser barely lifted his head to their rescuers, shoulders shaking from the aftermath. Angani seemed to be coherent enough, making him laugh in disbelief when he tried to redress him. "I got it, I got it," he shivered, pulling his sweater back on. He rubbed at Angani's hands, sitting against him to help prop him up.

Audrey's eyes lit up with a cruel smirk. She walked to the centre of the road, the wind picking up around her as if in a storm. She laughed as civilians began to cry out, gripping the light poles as the wind buffeted them. She clapped her hands together, sending out a massive concussive wave, blowing cars and people alike across the street, windows shattering on impact. With a signal, rebels began pouring out from their hidden locations, all wielding their powers with ill intent. "Make a scene," she ordered as civilians screamed around them. "Make it good."

Lorenzo was hunched over Zeke, offering him a glass of water, when the wall of air hit him. He braced himself against the bricks, holding onto Zeke's shoulder and keeping him steady. He whipped his head towards the street, "What the hell is going on tonight?"

Rapid hurried back to them and suddenly Rebels were everywhere, slingers, muscle heads, gunmen. All were leading a parade of violence and chaos down the street, setting buildings on fire with flame slinging and molotov cocktails. Rapid stumbled back, instinctively trying to shield the people behind him. He could take a hit, but them? No way... "We gotta get outta here!" Rapid yelled to the others. "Its the Rebels!"
Angani stumbled to his feet. "The kids! The school! We gotta warn the Academy!" He stumbled and hung onto Kaiser's shoulders. "They're going after the school!"

Nailah closed her eyes at the sound of the explosion hitting the station. It had begun so soon...She pulled away from Molly, tensing as her gaze lead to the window. Smoke was piling high into the sky. "Molly," she said urgently. "The station!"

Lorenzo grabbed Kaiser's shoulder, hearing Angani cry out. "No, you're not going anywhere kid," he grunted, looping an arm under his other side. "We're getting you inside, and you're staying put until this is over. Not much help you're going to be with a head wound like that." He shouldered through the onlookers, forcing Angani onto a bar stool. "I'm with the force, I've got it covered. You don't move from where you are." He gave Kaiser a look, entrusting him to enforce the law on his partner. He turned and rushed to Zeke. "We've got to barricade this place up," he said. "There's no use running out into the streets in the middle of all of this." He rubbed at his head, strained. "I can't get in touch with anyone at the station, either. Whatever this is, it's already hit the force."

Rapid helped usher Angani and Kaiser back into the bar. "Boss man, I'll watch over these guys and help board the place up, you gotta help the other people out there!" he flinched hearing other explosions going off. "He's right though, they're heading right for the bridge!"

Molly gasped and ran towards the window. "Contact everyone you can can get defenses on the streets between the Pyramid and the bridge!" she ran and donned her flame-wear and ran back out the door. "Come on!"

Nailah nodded mutely, following her out the door as she pulled her armour on. Her gut had begun twisting itself in knots, she was beginning to find it hard to breathe. "I'm getting reports a large force is moving up from the market square towards the bridge," she reported, voice tight. She hoped Molly mistook it for fear.

Lorenzo nodded at Rapid, eyeing Zeke with worry. He didn't want to put Zeke in any kind of danger, but Rapid was right. They couldn't sit in here while people were getting hurt. "We'll do what we can. Bar the doors and windows with tables, and stay low. Don't give them a reason to investigate."

Rapid dragged the heavy furniture against the windows and doors with ease then hurried back to help Kaiser tend to Angani's head.
Angani's eyes were welling fast. "He took my pass... they're gonna get across the bridge and its my pass!!" he choked out.
Rapid hovered weakly over them, unsure how to help.

Molly raced along the pavement, hair already alight with heartfire. She skidded around a corner and football tackled a Rebel above to crush some citizens with a car held overhead. Molly's skin burned and scorched his skin as she lashed his hands together with Sampson Tape and ditched him to chase the other assailants.

Alan descended from the sky in a whirl of lightning and static, hitting the ground in front of the smoking, crumbled ruins of the station. "Lilah!" he breathed and ran into the ruins, pulling at debris, trying to dig out survivors. "Lilah! LILAH!"

Kaiser squeezed his eyes shut. He knew he was being a coward. He was a Silver Wing; it was his duty to be out there, helping civilians. But the thought of being separated from Angani now was too much. "Angani, it's okay, Lorenzo and Zeke are going to get help," he murmured, trying to calm him. "There's nothing you can do." But there was something Kaiser needed do. He needed to do his job. He pressed a kiss to Angani's brow. Angel, you out there? Kaiser stood as he sent the tpath out, reaching out to touch Rapid's arm. "You need to let me out," he whispered, the tears he had choked down suddenly welling up. "But please, take care of him. Don't let him leave." He soaked in the image of Angani before he wiped the tears from his cheeks, sure to stand where he wouldn't see them.

Nailah followed in Molly's wake, watching her form wipe out the Rebel's with ease. She smiled. Brave girl.
Audrey stepped out into the street, sneering at the captain. "Finally come out from hiding!" she called out to Molly. "It's about damn time. I was beginning to think you weren't going to show." She gave a flick of her wrist and Rebels began encircling the two Commandos. "Not that I'm disappointed you're here. I've been waiting for this for a long time."

Molly smiled her eyes blazed into sold yellow flames. "Me too, you dirtbag." She charged Audrey, letting flames wreath her shoulders and extend from her arms she sent a blast of fire toward her and her Rebel minions.

Rapid looked at Kaiser, tiny, blind. "I... I can't let you out there! I promised Zeke I'd keep you safe." he murmured, wringing his hands nervously. He didn't want to keep them here against their will, but he couldn't keep him safe out there!

Angel lept off his balcony, diving into the night in his hoodie, vest, jeans and flight boots. I'm out here man! Shit's gone sideways! Stay outta sight! Angel barrel rolled into the street and tackled away a Rebel running across the bridge, a red smear on the glass of the bridge tower told him that security was compromised. Angel landed in the middle of the bridge. "I need any Silver Wings agents that can hear me! They're taking the bridge! I need backup!" he dodged a fire blast and a round of ammunition and continued to blast rebels over the side of the bridge, trying to hold the line, but there were too many of them...

As Molly charged towards her Audrey snarled, holding her hands in front of her as she projected a wall of air around them to ward off the blast. "Is that all you've got?" she laughed breathlessly, flicking dust off her shoulder in nonchalance. "You do make a pretty picture though."
Nailah curled her hands as her body morphed, her form melting into an animated water spectre. She drew in a breath, steadying herself. She had to see this through.

Kaiser grit his teeth, feeling the uncertainty coming off of Rapid in waves. "I'm a Silver Wing. I need to be out there," he pleaded, trying to keep his voice level. He couldn't let Angani see he was distressed. "Please. My friend is out there, and he needs my help."

Rapid fidgeted back and forth, uncertain, they were all in trouble, he was still trying to keep them safe, but he had to respect a Silver Wing, someone who could help the people in danger. He stepped aside. "I'll keep him safe." he promised nervously.

Molly blasted a minion into a wall with a gust of fire and turned and swung out her arm scattering molten drops of flesh at Audrey's face. Going full magma was a slow process, but it didn't mean getting punched or slapped with viscous molten hands hurt any less.

Emery and Piper ran to protect the citizens in the city square, Piper was skating about on the frozen ground with her ice powers, freezing opponents to the ground by their feet or lobbing sharp ice beams at them from her palms.
Emery skittered about dodging shrapnel and trying to pull people out of harms' way. His power were strained and he was starting to fell light headed, he stumbled into the street and staggered catching a falling air conditioning unit from crushing a mother and her toddler. His veins started to show black under his skin. Pushed to the limit. He jumped back to avoid getting hit with a flying motorcycle lobbed at him from down the street then fell off the curb into the path of a speeding truck.
Piper whipped around and screamed. "EMERY!"

Kaiser nodded to him, and ducked around him. He knew Angani would be safest there. With a bound he shot into the sky, making way towards the bridge. He cast out a widespread sonar, honing in on Angel immediately. He was in the thick of it, dodging a barrage of attacks. Seeing a Rebel shoot at Angel's blind spot, he swooped in, knocking his shot wide and shoving him bodily from the bridge. "Angel! Where are the rest of the Commandos? Where is everyone?"

Audrey laughed as she warded off every spray of lava Molly shot at her with her barricade. "You can't get to me from behind my walls, captain," she taunted. "Not even at your best." Her Rebels on the other hand, weren't doing so well, pulling back from the molten fire. Frustrated, she forced Molly backwards with a concentrated blast of air, aiming to knock her off her feet. "Swarm her, you idiots!"

Lorenzo heard Piper's scream, and raced towards the cadet. Seeing Emery slip from the curb he shot forwards, tackling him out of the way. The truck blew past, narrowly missing them. Laying on the curb, Lorenzo brushed the hair from Emery's face, seeing how dark his veins had become. He'd pushed himself too far. "Dammit, Emery," he muttered, lifting the young cadet in his arms. He needed to get him out of harms way, he couldn't stay out here like this. There were so many Rebels...He turned desperately to Zeke. "We need to save as many people as we can. Get them back to the bar, or something." If not the station, where else would civilians be safe? "The library! It's big enough and more or less fortified." He hiked Emery up onto his back, waving an arm at Piper. "Pipes, round up as many civilians as you can. Get them to the library," he called, before setting off with Emery.

Emery flopped off of Lorenzo's shoulder. "I can walk!" he groaned, promptly stumbling and holding the wall for support. "I can help just let me stay out here!"
Piper skated past. "Em' you're too weak we gotta get the civ's out! We can't worry about you too! We'll be ok just go!" she pushed him gently. Emery froze and didn't want to go but the swarm of civilians being herded with him was too intense. He left and Piper skated back into the fray towards Molly to help.
Molly melted her feet into the ground to keep from getting swept away in the gusts and heated her core, a radiant, molten ball of flames she spun like a figure skater spouting fire and magma all around, scattering all the minions.
Angel rolled and winced getting shot in the boot, it sparked and jolted and he dropped tot he pavement. "Kaiser there's too many of them! I can't get ahold of anyone else!"

Audrey scowled at the quailing support Rebels shrinking away from the flames. "I'll show them how it's done," she muttered, letting the air barrier fall between them, keeping the forces of the wind wrapped around her palms. Ducking between the haphazard flames, she flung herself towards Molly, pulling back her fist in an attempt to land a hit.
Nailah spun to see Audrey fly towards her partner. Her eyes blew wide, and she shot forwards, grabbing Audrey around the middle and slamming her to the ground. "Cease!" she hissed at the Rebel, Audrey's wind barrage guttering out. The command was drowned out by the surge of yelling Rebels, inspired by their deputy to swarm in. "No!" Nailah howled, watching them converge on Molly.

Kaiser saw Angel drop from the air. He swept in, blowing past and knocking aside an oncoming Rebel as he landed beside his comrade. "We need to go," he panted, edging them away from the throng of oncoming fighters. "We can't - we can't stay here, they're overwhelming us." He thought of Angani. He had to get back to him, had to make sure he was still safe. "We need to regroup. Where are the others?"

Angel grabbed Kaiser and rolled to the edge of the bridge to avoid someone throwing an axe at them and dove over the edge to hover beneath the bridge. "No one's answering! Base was blown up! Everyone's scattered and they're coming for the school. This is the only bridge and those students aren't gonna have a prayer of escape if we can stop these crowds!"
Molly blazed to her full magma glory and shot out a spherical shield of flames that bowled her assailants back. She lashed out, spraying magma at the others, burning, scalding, punching everything within reach. She had to keep them contained! She had to let the people escape!
Rapid tried to hold back the door of the bar that was being broken down into splinters by the Rebel mob outside. "We gotta move!" he told the others taking refuse behind the counter. "THis place won't hold much longer!"\
Angani pulled the bloodied bar towel from his head and spun around. "Kai..Kaiser! Where's Kaiser!!!" he shouted in panic.
Rapid heard him and turned to tell him when a huge musclehead on the otherside kicked in the door and threw Rapid to the ground.
Rapid twisted and thre two tables at the musclehead but they shattered across his face and didn't leave a mark. Uh oh.
"Run!" Rapid caught a punch to the chest that sent him airbourn and through the wall int he back as the bar flooded with Rebels.

Kaiser, braced himself as Angel rolled them out of the way. "There's not enough of us! We can't stop them like this, they're endless," he said, heaving. He ducked as another projectile shot overhead, hearing others skid across the tarmac around them. He pulled Angel behind an overturned car nearby, using the warped vehicle as cover. "Anybody here really, really strong, and on our side?" he yelled into the fray. If they could throw a few more cars like these in a makeshift wall, it could give them much needed shelter to rally behind.

Nailah wrenched herself away from Audrey, arms bracketing her head as she approached Molly through the relentless storm of fire. "Molly!" she yelled into the blast, bodies falling down around her as they were struck by the commando. None of them moved again. Her form was beginning to blister from the heat of it as she pushed forwards. Her gut roiled with nausea as she stepped close to her partner, reaching out to her with a hand. Grabbing her wrist, she flinched as the initial spike of heat blew her hand apart, before she focused her body to rapidly cool itself down into arctic temperatures. She hauled Molly close, wrapping her arms around her tightly. "I'm sorry," Nailah broke, her form shuddering as it fought with Molly's heat. "I'm sorry." With a gasp, her form enveloped Molly, coating her in glacial ice water.
