Alfonse peered over the edge of the snowy pit prison. "Who's still alive, call out!" he shouted. He had been visiting the pit the last few days to try and egg the prisoners into an attack. Last week he had dragged Pike inside and interrogated him about the wherabouts of the Council's safety bunker. The Ranger had complied a bit too willingly, most likely a false answer to save his neck. But despite his tortures and beatings his answer hadn't changed. Stubborn pride. He got nothing out of Ashley, well, that wasn't true. He got plenty out of Ashley, but he didn't know where the council was hiding, and if he did he was great at acting clueless. All the same, Alfonse was rough with him anyways and Ashley complied, he had a feeling he would have told him by now if he did know. So until then he came back every few days, had Alan beaten to a pulp by Clay and thrown back into the pit and occasionally took Brody and Lorenzo out for some boxing practice as well. Now he was fed up with toying with them. If Alan didn't tell the truth today he was going to kill these two in front of him... via Ashley.
Alan heard him above, his face was a mask of bruises and cuts. He spat into the snow. "Fuck you." he grunted angrily. Obviously not having learned much from his beatings, or maybe just lost his common sense because of them. He stayed where he was huddled in his corner.

Brody sat, slumped against the pit wall, staring blankly at the ground. His body was littered with cuts and bruises, both new and old. He wasn't a stranger to pain and beatings, but the dread and hopelessness that was creeping in made each blow hit harder than the last. Blinking out of his daze, he looked up to see Alfonse's silhouette towering above him. "What he said," he rasped, his voice hollow and scratchy.

Lorenzo barely lifted his head from where he had curled up against the wall. Alfonse's call barely registered in his mind, his body aching with a constant dull pain. He knew what was coming, enough to close his eyes wearily and wait for the beatings to begin anew.
Ashley smiled at Alan weakly from where he stood beside the Rebel leader. His throat was dark with fresh bruises coating the old, crawling up to his jawline, his lip freshly split from the night before. Not that he had any right to complain, he was far better off than his compatriots down below. Thankfully Alfonse preferred his partners to be relatively clean and fed. "Looking good, boss," he joked lamely, voice hoarse from his throat's rough treatment. "Glad to see you're keeping up your old spirits."

Alan snorted. "Fuck you too." he grunted, sitting up and not turning to face either of them. "We gonna keep doing this, Alfonse. I keep giving you what you want. You keep doubting me. Rinse repeat?"
Alfonse gave Ashley a warning look for talking out of turn but smirked at Pike's reply. Still so sharp. Still so sassy. He wasn't trying hard enough. "I was hoping it wouldn't come to this but if you don't comply today I'l afraid this is your last chance."
"I'm shaking." Alan drawled in annoyance. "Quit boring me, if you're gonna kill me then do it already, I've told you all I know."
"Oh I'm not gonna kill any of you." Alfonse tugged Ashley closer with a jerk and kissed his split lip, tasting his blood. He smiled then pushed Ashley over the edge into the pit. "He is."

Ashley yelped as he dropped through the air, landing in a clumsy heap on the ground at Alan's feet. He pushed himself up to his knees, touching a finger to his stinging lip, fingers coming away slick with blood. His eyes grew wide with comprehension. He whirled around to look at Alfonse. "Hey, big guy, let's not get hasty here," he stammered. "We're friends, aren't we? You don't need to do this to me."

Brody looked up at the two balefully, especially Ashley. That bastard was the reason he was stuck here in the first place. And now he was getting pampered and laid like he was Alfonse's little pet. He was about to say something, when Ashley was suddenly in the pit with them. He jumped back and scrambled to his feet. "Welcome, buddy," he grumbled. "Have fun up there?" He looked up at Alfonse and frowned. Kill...?

"I'm not doing anything to you, you're going after them. Kill them both until Pike gives the right answer." Alfonse's eyes sparked red and he urged Ashely to attack Lorenzo and Brody. Alan staggered upright bellowing "I already told you the truth leave them alone!" He tried to tackle Ashley away but he was lacking the use of his arms, them being tied behind his back and all.
Alfonse watched the mayhem from above then turned to face his second. "Audrey what do you think, is the Ranger telling the truth? His story hasn't budged no matter what tortures I put him and the others through. He's either stupidly loyal or a total sellout, but what I've heard of Pike niether seems within his character. So what do you think? I'm tired of guessing."

Audrey smirked as Ashley was bowled over by the ranger. "I think we're all due some fun, boss," she smiled toothily. "I also think we can get a lot nastier than this. Pike's been on a holiday retreat so far. Let's find his kid and have her thrown in there with Ashley, see what he says then."
Ashley grunted as he ate dirt, his body rolling without his permission to throw Alan off of him easily. He felt his body pick itself up, start towards Brody. It was an experience, not being in control. He could still feel everything, his senses were all as aware as they ever were, but to react to them was beyond him. He grit his teeth, trying to pull himself away as he crowded in on Brody, his body bending to fasten his hands around his throat. Sudden pain exploded through his cheek, his head snapping to the side, blood arcing as he fell.
Lorenzo unclenched his fist and clenched again, knuckles smarting. He didn't to hurt Ashley, but he knew well enough that so long as Alfonse was in control, he was at his whims. He glared up at the Rebels. "Don't make us kill your pet, Alfonse."
Ashley groaned from the ground, white spots flaring across his vision. He felt himself standing, blood dribbling down his chin.

Alfonse smiled at Audrey. "Oh I'm sure he'll be fine." He called over his shoulder hearing Lorenzo. He glanced down seeing Alan had gotten to his feet and was standing guard over Brody.
"Alfonse I already told you the Council Bunker is secretive and under their pyramid head quarters. I've never seen it I just know its there! Its all sealed off with biometric access codes and the powers down so you're S O L either way! You can either dig them out or wait for the inevitable backup to break through the borders! But you can't starve them out, they live like always down below. I'll help you get to them if you let the citizens go!"
Alfonse watched Ashely and Lorenzo tussle. "I'm listening."
"Let Ashely go and we'll go to the Pyramid and find the access point." Alan squinted through blackened eyes. "Leave these guys alone or let them go, they don't know anything."
"That's for sure." Alfonse relinquished his control over Ashley. "Alright, Audrey help him out of there then assemble a team, we're heading into the city."

Ashley sank to the ground as Alfonse let him go, his head thrumming with pain. Lorenzo had managed to land a fair amount of hits for his withered frame.
Audrey dropped to the edge of the pit, snapping her fingers impatiently as she extended her arm out to him. "Come on pretty boy, we haven't got all day."
Ashley pushed himself drearily to his feet, wiping the blood from his chin messily, wincing at the fresh bruises sporting his features. He glanced at Alan, eyes tight with regret as he let himself be hauled out of the pit. He stumbled at the edge, and Audrey snarled contemptuously, before he caught himself. Audrey wiped her hands on her pants, before spinning on her heel to gather up a small force at Alfonse's bidding.
Lorenzo fell beside Nico, chest heaving from the exertion.

Alan sat down heavily and looked over at Lorenzo and Brody. "I have a feeling I won't be coming back after this... Once we're gone you twi gotta try to split somehow. TPath for help if you can get to the beach, I think there's a safehouse in the warehouse district. I'll try to stall him with the Council as long as I can."
Alfonse looked over his shoulder as Ashley resurfaced and caught up to them. "There see? You did excellent. And you're all still in one piece. You can take a punch too, that's worth noting." he folded his arms. "Now don't be so sullen, it can't all be sunshine and rainbows around here. I have to make the best use of the tools I'm given." he rested a finger under his chin to gave into Ashley's cut up face. "And you're quite the multi tool." he turned to Clay. "Go draw him up a bath and get him cleaned up, he stinks of pit-people."

Lorenzo looked at Alan, feeling his eyes well up with tears piteously. They'd been stuck here together for so long that the idea of being split from Alan tore at him. He leant forwards, resting his hand on Alan's arm. "Give him hell, Pike," he said gravelly, gripping him tightly. "Give him back twice what he gave us. And don't trust Ashley. He's been with them long enough, Alfonse has probably collected all he needs to make him your enemy."
Ashley winked at Alfonse as he was lead away, cheek twinging with pain. "You're not gonna kiss all my boo-boo's better? Shame."

Brody had stayed as much out of the fight as he could, only lashing out with a few kicks and swats when Ashley had come too close. Part of him had been afraid to touch him. He could persuade people, but he was obviously under the influence of Alfonse and, the thought of touching that kind of mind, with no preparation or escape route terrified him. He looked over at Lorenzo wearily and nudged him. "You did good," he muttered lamely, a soft flare of shame warming his face. He finally turned to Alan and frowned. He'd come to like the gruff man. He scared the hell out of him, but spending three weeks stuck in a hole and suffering through daily beatings with someone, it's hard not to form some sort of bond.

Alan nodded hearing the Reboot boots approaching. "Its been a pleasure gents." He blinked in surprise as Rashida lifted him out of the pit with her telekinesis and he was gone from sight as they headed towards the beach below where Alfonse 's boat was waiting.
Alfonse gave a dry laugh at Ashley's words then left him with Clay and headed to the beach.
"He's getting tired of you. " clay grumbled. "So am I. " he grunted before shoving him towards the Greenhouse.

Ashley snorted, stumbling in the drift as he was pushed forwards. "Clay, buddy," he rolled his neck. "You're prettier when you don't speak." He forced himself towards the bathroom, avoiding any more unnecessary rough handling.
