Elroy didn't flinch at her outburst but he was getting ore and more frustrated. Luckily, paper and pencil was so unused anymore that he doubted her techno partner in the lab had pieced together that's what he was up to. He could still see them trying hack into his secure files, when he saw them reaching into external drive he got angry and his eyes flashed blue, following the link back to van and frying the computer's harddrive with a flash.
"And you're clearly their very best spokesperson." Elroy added dryly, enjoying the sound of silence on his computer as the hacker was ejected. "I can just feel the warmth."
--
Angani shivered. "Nothing small about what was in there, but yeah, ok." he nodded a shy hello to Molly. "Oh, Piper, if you see Emery in training tell him I have his prescription ready. I haven't been able to reach him on his contact list."

Nailah grew cold, unfazed by the electricity flashing in his eyes. "If you wanted warmth, you shouldn't have torn Molly apart for her decision to enlist. But you did, and you refuse to speak to her, and so they've sent me." She leaned, eyes flickering to the files scattered across his desk. "You're withholding information from us. See to it that that information is documented and sent to us - in whatever format pleases you."
She turned to the door, pausing as her palm touched the handle. "You think you're some righteous do-gooder trying to protect the ignorant youth from the bad forces they can't see. Have you stopped to think that, maybe, you're pushing away just as many as you like to think you're protecting? What good will that do them when worse comes to worst?"

Elroy's brows furrowed as she brought up Molly. "First of all, that's not what happened but I don't have to tell you anything, and now I know you're here for your own reasons because you brought up Molly. I don't care that she's dating other people. What she sees in you..." he shrugged. "But its not my place or problem. And you can tell Falconer what she can can expect to receive from me." he gave the doorway a harsh look to zap Nailah's highly conductive hand enough to jolt. "Next time be sure to book an appointment so I can be sure to cancel it. I don't work for the Commandos."

Nailah flinched, ripping her hand away from the door as the electricity hit her. "You don't think, in all this time, she hasn't told me what happened?" she barked. "I know what happened. I know that you refused to support her from the moment she enlisted. I know that she missed you, that she saw the growing division between the two of you, and that she only tried to fix it! I was there through all of it. She wanted you to join the force because she missed you, not for some misconstrued garbage reason you blame her for." She fixed Elroy with a disgusted look, arms tensing as water pooled in her palms. "I brought Molly up, because you can't seem to let it go. You're still holding her accountable for what happened years ago, and you're sabotaging other students' futures under some false ideology you're still doing the right thing. They aren't Molly, and they aren't you!"

"Oh hush up, I'm not hung up on Molly. I never brought her up, you did. You're trying to make me react emotionally like I'm hurt or something for her being with you. Don't you get it? She has nothing to do with the fact that I don't like the Commandos rooting around in my business, or the Council sending me threatening memos. Or you driving your car past my gym every Thursday night for some reason." Elroy sat down and started to log into his computer. "Anyways, in a few minutes I'll be so surrounded by pop-ups that I won't see or hear your pettiness anymore."
Molly looked across the compound towards the Greenhouse and saw Johnny walking away from it looking stressed. "Hey, Johnson. What's going on?"

Johnny skittered closer to Molly. "Thank 'Seidon you haven't left yet," he said through a tight smile. "There's uh - I'm sure you already know, but, Nailah and Elroy are, um. Well, they seemed decent enough when I left, but that's sure as hell not going to last. You probably want to intervene on that meeting?"
---
Nailah squeezed her fists tight, trying to stem the emotional outburst causing her form to waver. "Don't try to act so damn composed, Seibert," she hissed. "You're a child, playing games. These games aren't just affecting you anymore, they're affecting the future of students that aren't yet aware of what they could do, who they could be, because you refuse to let them. You have been ordered to relinquish any and all information relating to the students in your program, by the Academy, by the Commandos, by the Council, and you will yield."

Elroy snorted. "The Council can't control me" he peered over the top of the computer, "And I'd loooove to see you try." Elroy started typing the security coding for his building. Maybe he was being cocky, he didn't care. The amount of times the Council had tried to make him join the Commandos was exhausting. Their more or less compromise was him teaching the students, and he had been fine with that until he realized they just wanted him to groom their target recruitment pool. He knew if Nailah attacked he could handle it, and with his cameras everywhere he could probably get her suspended. He just wanted her out of his lab, and he could see her composure was slipping.
--
Molly's brows raised. "Hephaestus's hammer..." she groaned and hurried across the lawn towards the Greenhouse. "Piper stay with Kaiser!" she called over her shoulder. She shot a T-path to Nailah as she ran.
What are you doing??

Nailah froze as Molly's voice rang in her mind. What I was sent to do, she responded. He's withholding information, I'm discussing his options. It's well under control. Despite Molly's frantic tone, Nailah felt a wave of calm. She was likely on her way over, and it wouldn't do to seem agitated. She didn't need Molly to worry she was going to do something reckless. She focused her gaze on Elroy a last time, eyes steely, but composed. "You're a bigger fool than you realise if you think you're going to hold the monopoly in this place forever. They're going to grow tired of you eventually."

"Well, they're still keeping yo around and you're a total bitch so I like my chances." Elroy sighed and started playing a game of snake in his peripheral. He heard footsteps on the stairs and flashed up his cameras. Molly. Greeeeaaaat.
Don't antagonize him you'll just make him clam up! You should had let me deal with this he's just gonna get mad! Molly groaned into Nailah's head.

Nailah's expression soured. We're probably beyond that point now. He wasn't very open to begin with. You should hurry before things escalate. "I know my place, and my obligations. If that makes me a bitch, I couldn't imagine what that makes you," she said in a cool voice. "And I, for one, don't cause as much trouble as you seem to. You're a loose canon with far too much freedom. All of these things that have been provided to you in good faith - you haven't done a damned thing to deserve them."
---
Johnny took off after Molly, jogging alongside her to keep up. "What's the plan? We go in guns blazing?" He shot the finger guns at her.

Molly groaned as she ran. "More like stop them from ripping one another apart. I told her not to talk to him about the files! He's just gonna drive an even deeper rift between the Commandos and the Academy!" she ran up the stairs.
Elroy snorted a laugh. "Yeah, true. I should just give these powers back to the person I got them from... oh wait." he shrugged with great theatrics. "Never had the choice now did I?" he looked up as Molly filled the doorway, panting from the run.
Surprised you're not beside her grilling me. Elroy t-pathed to her.
Elly please, not right now. This isn't how I was planning to handle this!
I'm not something that needs to be 'handled.'
No offense but you kind of are.
Elroy glanced towards Nailah at back as they continued to argue telepathically until Molly cleared her throat.
"Nailah, why don't you head back to base with Piper. I'll meet you there."
"And don't let the cyber security measure shock you on the way out." Elroy muttered under his breath.

Johnny glanced back and forth between the three others in the room as they all stared in silence. Figuring there was a silent conversation going on, he clapped his hands together, rubbing them as he sucked in a breath. "So, I know it looks like I took off to fetch mum - sorry about that," he shot at Nailah in the silence. "Just, I figured, this is an expensive building. The Academy probably doesn't want to rebuild it."
Nailah squinted at Johnny, before shooting Elroy a dark look. She turned to Molly, not quite meeting her eyes. "I'd prefer to remain here, if I may, Captain," she bit out. Don't send me away from this like a misbehaving child.

Molly gave her a stern look. I wouldn't have to if you had followed orders in the first place, now it looks like we're scrambling to regain control of the situation. It should never have gotten this far. You know better than to act this way. her eyes flashed orange and she sighed a tense cloud of steam.
"Elroy, I want to discuss the sharing of the grades with you. I want to meet you half way. I know you don't like the Commandos interfering with studies, so how about a deal? I set up a booth for the Commandos during club week after finals when the students know whether or not they possess the required abilities to sign up. The students have free will to come over and sign up without a Commando seeking them out for induvidual interviews. This way the students control their choices in a more organic way. Does that sound better?"
Elroy clicked a pen cap together and apart a few times in thought. "Are you and yours still going to be prying into my computer every 16 hours?"
"No, and I doubt we would retrieve anything by doing so." Molly shook her head. "You have the finest online and technical security around, its what makes this place such a stronghold and its why the Commandos want you so badly--"
"Molly." Elroy cut her off, his tone a hard warning. He wasn't going to go there. There was no way they were having the recruitment discussion now.
Molly put her hand up in a take back. "The point is you know what you're doing, and so do we. Its better if we can help one another to achieve the best outcome on both sides. Do you agree?"
Elroy frowned at his computer screen.
"Elroy." she prompted.
"Yeah sounds great." he muttered unenthusiastically then looked at Nailah. "But if her hackers try to weasel into my lab again I'm frying your mainframe."
Molly muscled a smirk off her face and nodded. "We stay out of your way, let your students continue their studies, you allow the Commandos to recruit interested students. Deal."
Elroy nodded. "Fine." he stood up and walked towards her but didn't shake her hand, he headed to the door and opened it up manually, standing beside it. "Ms. O'don."
Molly sighed and walked past him. "Have a better afternoon Mr. Seibert..."

Nailah bit her tongue, refusing to show how much that stung. She wouldn't give them the satisfaction. At the dismissal, she gave Elroy a curt nod as she whipped past him. "Thanks for stepping in. It was getting out of hand," she muttered hollowly to Molly when they had walked a safe distance from the Greenhouse. "I don't know how you managed to pull it off. He's impossible to work with." She paused, before pushing through. "But what you've just suggested...have we not just given back one of our greatest assets in handing back his files? It took us months of work around to get as far as we did. It all feels like wasted effort." Nailah's face contorted into a scowl. "He shouldn't get away with as much as he does. He's just as human as the rest of us, but people bend over backwards trying to please him, and he just keeps getting his way. Every damn time."
---
Johnny whistled lowly as the door clicked closed behind them, eyeing the room with his hands on his hips. "What a handful that one was, huh? I see nothing got burned down though, so congratulations for keeping your temper!"

Elroy crossed his arms and shot Johnny a glare that caused a massive crack to form across the screen of Johnny's phone in four places. "Yep."
--
"Elroy shouldn't have been targeted like a foreign enemy from the begining, Lilah wanted to sneak around behind his back. He needed some honesty, he's used to being taken advantage of." she looked over at her. "And you like to poke the bear." she returned her attention to the horizon. "We need to set a better example for Piper, Emery and the other cadets. They were close with Elroy and like it or not the Commandos could use more positive relationships with him. With Reboot getting more and more bold its better to make allies than enemies."
